Skills and Training

Great companies are made of great people - and Linford
is no exception.

The construction industry has often had a bad press for providing jobs rather than careers. Linford has redressed this imbalance - if you look through our case studies you'll see many of our staff have been with us for over 20 years, advancing through the group via our in-house training programmes and sponsored study schemes.

It is our balanced approach to direct employment and sub-contracting that delivers the right quality at the right price on every job. Because of this we understand the need for a wide range of skills, knowledge and teamwork from the meeting room to the site.

For new-build work, we are proud of our record of developing
professional project managers who stand apart from the crowd. On restoration work, most of our craftsmen are directly employed, and we
are committed to helping take those staff from apprentice to site manager.

From management trainees to those seeking to learn traditional skills and trades such as stonemasonry, carpentry and bricklaying, there is a career to be found at Linford.
